Back to the Grind Stone
Spring Break is now officially over, and I didn’t even get half as much work or relaxing done as I had anticipated. This is mainly due to the fact that we had to take my grandmother into the ER on Wednesday night and she didn’t get back out of the hospital until Saturday. She was having trouble breathing and her heartbeat was way too low and irregular. I guess at one point it was so low that she was in some serious trouble (this was after I had left the ER to go home). They made the decision to put a pacemaker in, and she came home the next day. So now we’re all just crossing our fingers and hoping that it all works out and she’ll be okay.
I really need to come up with a new layout for this place, since I’ve had the current one since I opened this blog last year. I just can’t seem to come up with anything that isn’t really complex but I still like. I’ve made about eight potential layouts so far, but I always find something wrong with them which makes me not want to use it. I know I’ll think of something eventually, but eventually might not be for another few months. But I’m really starting to get sick of this one and it needs to go away soon.
Now that the weather is starting to warm up a bit, hopefully I can convince Mike to start doing more things outside. Sitting cooped up alone in my room all the time is pretty depressing, and doesn’t give me much to blog about – thus I don’t blog. If I can get out more, I’ll also be able to start taking more pictures again… I really miss using my Canon, but I don’t have any protective covers for it, so no way was I taking it out in the rain/snow that was constantly falling.
Other than stuff listed above, nothing exciting has been happening. I’ve come to believe that my life, while being perfectly suitable for me, is actually pretty dull. But that’s just because I can’t really do much until I have that diploma in my hand. I’ve developed a sort of “tunnel vision” where the only thing that matters now is graduation.

I am sorry to hear that your grandmother was ill and in the hospital.
Hopefully she is doing better and continues to do so.
Haha, I too have been doing alot of “in room” observation- I’m anticipating the weather perks up so that I can go see interesting things out in the world
School runs my life, too. More like school IS my life. After all the classes and then studying, I don’t have enough time or stress-capacity left to do anything more challenging than sleeping or maybe vegging in front of Discovery all night.
I hope the pacemaker helps your grandmother and everything turns out okay. I am sure that is a scary situation she was in last week.
I didn’t get much accomplished during my Spring Break either, so don’t feel bad!
My grandma had a pacemaker for 15 years and it really helped her.
I hope your grandmother feels better!
