This is a day in the life shoot that I did on September 19. It is now technically September 21, but this is the first real time I’ve had to sit down and actually do it.
On Saturday the boy, his father, and I went to the York State Fair to see Jeff Dunham. They picked me up in the afternoon and we headed down. I got to show the boy where I’m going to be going to school and living after I move on October 1st, so that was a plus. The traffic was terrible, but the show made it all worth it. I never used to like Jeff Dunham, but recently I started listening to him more and more. His act was amazing! My face literally hurt from all the laughing.
The best part was that he usually only does 3/4 puppets during his shows. We got the usual three: Walter, Achmed and Peanut/Jose. But after he was done, he ran off stage for a second. Then he came back out with Bubba J to do an encore since so many people had emailed him asking to see Bubba. Bubba J is the redneck puppet, so of course you can understand why we Pennsylvanians wanted to see him… lol. Jeff hadn’t used Bubba in a long time, so he didn’t really remember all the jokes and told us he needed to use a cheat sheet for them. The hilarious part was that Jeff would set the joke up, and almost the entire audience would deliver the punchlines with Bubba. At one point Jeff couldn’t stop laughing and admitted it was the weirdest show he’d done in a long time.
We didn’t get home until really late, and then today I went with my mother and her boyfriend to buy him his first computer. It was lots of fun. His son works at Best Buy, so we got the employee discount. I was able to get a Seagate 1TB external hard drive and a nice set of earphones for $100 even. So it was a good day, even though I’m dead tired. But I didn’t want to go to bed before I got this posted!
So here we go!
Warning: Image HEAVY

Sometime during the morning I migrated downstairs to the couch only to be woken a few hours later by this. Let me tell you. When you’re groggy, have no idea where you are and this is the first thing you see… Its HORRIFYING! I love my dog, but SERIOUSLY.

Since the Oven is the only easily photographed digital clock downstairs, here’s a lovely shot of our oven and the time I got up at.

Washed the hair! Yay for wet, tangled mess.

My closet which consists 90% of clothes I don’t wear…

My mother, home from work and making lots of phone calls. Plus a cameo by clutter!table.

Wasting some time by writing. I am so much more creative when I’m actually writing in a notebook than when I’m trying to type on the computer.

A shot of my semi-sloppy handwriting. Its a mix of printing and cursive. (It gets more cursive depending on whether I’m in a hurry or not.)

Doing the normal Internet things like checking the Email and visiting sites!
Sites Shown: Lavish, The Vault (True Blood fansite), Blood Bonds (True Blood fansite), Nocturnes (LJ Comm), LiveJournal, whittersNU, PlayList, Twitter

My AIM and WinAmp. I would HIGHLY suggest any of these songs. Especially “Somebody Leave the Light On” and “Brennende Liebe” (if you like German music)

Givin’ a shoutout to all the pirates out there with my outfit today!

Spazzy dancing to “She Wolf” by Shakira… Obviously I did not know this picture was being taken… *grumble* I noticed too late..

Bag all packed for my adventure today!

The boy and his dad arrive to pick me up! Yay!

Driving is FUN! Especially when I’m not the one doing it.

The boy playing “teacher” and proofing some stuff I’d written.

Listening to my iPod. Yeah, that is my Radio X headset.. Until today I didn’t have a proper pair of earbuds since my last pair broke.

Writing, because this is a LONG trip. (Almost 4 hours)

Made it to York, PA (where I’m moving). This is a very blurry picture of the very pretty park that is across from my school.

My school’s sign!

Pretty school!

The housing complex that I’m going to be living in!

After the school, we head for the fairgrounds only to be met with this seemingly ENDLESS line of traffic.

It’s 7:40. The show starts at 8:00. It’s taken us an hour to go 0.75 miles. We’re still 0.80 miles from the fairgrounds (according to TomTom). Its all downhill along the way. What do we do? Park in some random parking lot and hoof it while praying the car will still be there when we get back. Look at the traffic -die-

We make it in time for the show! Yay! The nosebleed section is fun! No, really it is!

The boy is both tired, dazed by all the people, and sore (in the face) from all the laughing we did.

Jesus wishes us a safe trip back up the hill.

This is the building that had the parking lot we parked in. I guess it used to be some sort of gas station or garage?

The car is still there! Yay! We don’t have to find out if AAA will pay your towing fees!

On the way home, starving, we seek out the almighty God of “on-the-go” food. SHEETZ!

No calories, no caffiene, but this shit keeps me running. I could live on it.

Its 2:40 am when I finally get home and drag myself into bed.

NIGHT NIGHT!
You hold your pens funny. And your mom found real clothing… awesome!
I love your DITLs. They are so much fun. Oh, and I am addicted to those SOBE life waters too right now. Haha, I have two sitting on my computer desk right now. Empty, of course.
I am so jealous you got to see Jeff Dunham!
