I’m just going to start off by saying that I’m exhausted.
Friday night I went to Kyle’s house to get my game on. After arriving early and being forced to wait almost an hour for him to get out of work and home during which time I just randomly drove around Harrisburg (which is so pretty at night) I finally got to see his new townhouse. I am in love with his kitchen and the archway between his living room and dining room since it has huge white columns. We finally sat down to play Halo 3 around midnight with Chris and Dessa and ended up playing until 2. I’ve really missed playing with them, even though they just kick my ass repeatedly since they’re all way better at it than I am. I got home around 3 and didn’t end up falling to sleep until around 4:30.
Saturday I was up at 7 for my 8am Math class which was, once again, boring as ever. I learned Algebra in 8th grade and here I am doing it all over again. And on a Saturday morning. But I can deal with it, since it’s incredibly easy. We got out around 12:15 and I headed back to the house to do some cleaning and hung around with my roommate Alexis all day while trying to get in touch with Kyle who was supposed to be coming down but had disappeared leaving me absolutely no way to contact him (since he was out of cell phone minutes).
Saturday night, John got a chance to meet and hang out with the utter awesomeness that is me, Kyle and Alexis. We went to Maryland for iHop and I got the New York Style Cheesecake Pancakes (since I will NEVER turn down Cheesecake). They were sooooo good, but still nowhere near as good as any kind of cheesecake that you can get at Cheesecake Factory. They were really rich too, since all I had eaten that day was a taco and I didn’t finish them but still felt really sick to my stomach. After getting home we all just watched movies and I didn’t end up crawling into bed until 5am.
Sunday I went to Harrisburg to see Kyle again (do you notice a trend here?) and we went to the Capital City Mall which I’d never been to before. It’s a really nice mall and I ended up getting a nice pair of Captive Bead earrings. Of course I got the bead out and couldn’t get them back in, so now I’m just wearing the ring part which is kept in place by the o-rings off my tapers. They still look cute enough.
After the mall, Kyle and I wanted to go someplace to eat and since I’d never been to a Teppanyaki restaurant, we decided to go to one of his favorite places to eat: Mikado Japanese Steak House & Sushi Bar. It was amazing to see the chef cooking while we all sat around the hibachi grill. He lit a lot of stuff on fire and did a couple tricks for us. And the food… So amazing. I’ve never had fried rice that tasted so good in my entire life. I’m extremely glad that we went, and the first time Michael comes down to visit me that’s where we’re going to eat since he had been trying to convince me to go to one of those places for years and then I ended up going without him.
Today I haven’t done anything at all. I’ve had next to no energy or motivation, so I’ve pretty much just lounged around and watched TV. Tomorrow I have class, so I’ll actually be forced to get up and do something, but hopefully by then I won’t be so tired.
OMG the fried rice is what does it for me when we get Teppanyaki. Lol! I always order a second helping because it’s so delicious. I’m glad you had a great time. I love going for Teppanyaki even if I’m not a fan of sake. Hehehe.
I have to say I don’t blame you for being exhausted! Damn. Cheesecake pancakes sound insane. I’ve never heard of that before. Where can I get this masterpiece?
WAIT. IHOP? SERIOUSLY?
Seriously, Caity.
Seriously.
