I really hate this whole Daylight Savings Time thing. I can’t stand that it’s now almost pitch black outside by 5pm. Yeah, I live for the night and all, but it getting dark so soon is depressing. I always end up going into a funk around this time because of it. I’m going to try and avoid the funk this year though. I’ve got plenty of things and people to keep my occupied.
I’m really trying my hardest to come up with a new design for this place. I may end up having to cave in and use a premade template for a while. I don’t know what’s happened to me, but my web design mojo has fizzled out. I think it’s because I’ve been pouring all my creativity into my school projects and by the time I get around to my personal stuff I just feel burned out.
Speaking of school projects… I’m finally getting a chance to learn Illustrator. Eventually I’ll have to take a class on it, but for now we’re just getting bits an pieces here and there. This is my most recent project for Color Theory.
Keep in mind that I’ve NEVER used Illustrator for anything before except the cheaters way of line drawing (pen tool for the win). This took me several hours to figure out, and it’s not perfect, but at least now I know how to manipulate things by adding 10 million anchors to its paths. So that’s at least something.
I’m feeling much better, but I’ve been taking it easy and plan on doing the same tomorrow. I have another project that has to get done before Thursday, but I don’t really think it will be any problem to finish up. So I do believe that now I’m heading to bed.

Ugh I hate the dark too. I am more of a night person but really… I love the lazy weekend mornings when the sun streams through the windows and you can just sit, and relax. But now the sun only lasts a little while and it’s gone again.
I’m jealous. I’ve wanted to take some graphic design/web design classes, more for personal use that anything pertaining to a career. I’d love to be able to make nice graphics again. Congrats! Ya know, maybe I’ll look into some classes I can take after work.
