I have about had it with CVS. Every single time I get something filled there they seem to mess it up in one way or another.

Today for example… They completely neglected to fill my order I placed online LAST NIGHT so that I could pick it up after school today. Then the guy had to clear it out and had me tell him what I needed filled. THEY FILLED THE WRONG THING so instead of paying $60 like I anticipated, I had to pay $80 and I still have another medicine I need to have filled (the one they didn’t fill). And the one they gave me by mistake is one that I’m just starting my new one today and I wouldn’t have needed for another 2 months. That’s $25 I really could have used for things like.. ya know… FOOD.

Idiots!

I’m getting the one med filled there because its only $5, and I’ll keep two scripts there because they’re both really cheap, but my 4 other medicines… I am totally transferring them back to Weis Pharmacy because they never once messed anything of mine up. A couple of them may be a bit more expensive, but I will gladly pay the couple extra dollars to know I am dealing with competent people.

So I went out to get the new book Dead in the Family by Charlaine Harris the other day at Borders because I’ve been waiting for such a long time for it to come out. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with it . Even though I knew what the book was going to be about, it was nothing like I expected. It was quite long, but to me it didn’t seem like the book actually took the reader anywhere. It covered such a short amount of time, and while there were plenty of things going on in the book it all seemed more like just filler.

It doubly upsets me because now I’ve got to wait an entire year for the next one to come out.

Hopefully True Blood won’t be horrible this season like it was (at the end of the) last season. If it isn’t, that’ll be something that I can use to tide me over. If not, maybe I’ll have to start looking into some other vampire series (since I’ve been meaning to give The Vampire Diaries a try – I will NEVER NEVER NEVER read Twilight).

Anybody have any suggestions of good Vampire series? I’d really love some new reading material!

Decided to pop in a post quick before I go to bed.

True to my word, Saturday I went to see Date Night like I had planned. It was amazing! I went with my best friend and just could not stop laughing. The whole way through the movie we kept looking at each other and going “THATS US!” and in the end we decided that it really was what we’d do in the same situation. Only we’d probably end up dead because that’s just our luck.

So yeah, if anybody reading this is on the fence about going to see it.. GO! You won’t be disappointed!

And now I need to go to bed. Lots of work to do in the AM.

I can’t believe it… I’m finally finished with my DU application. There were a couple times when I didn’t think I’d ever get it done. Especially since part of the application was the complete redesign of my portfolio whitneyfay.net. But I completed that portion last night and turned it in and today I went to the Registrar’s office and requested my transcripts be mailed to DU and that was the last step. Everything is finished so I can now start the month-long worrying process and hoping/praying every day that I get in.

Hopefully soon though I’ll be able to head up to Pittsburgh and check out the campus since I’ve never been there before. I’ll also get to meet with representatives from the department I applied to, so hopefully I can use the visit as a way to get my foot in the door and make them remember me for when it comes time to stamp my application “yes” or “no”. Regardless, I’m extremely excited to begin this next phase of my life, whether it means going back to school or finding something else. I’ve got a bunch of job opportunities sitting in my inbox to look over. A couple are actually full-time positions while others are just some freelance work that I’ll probably pick up.

I’m really loving being a freelancer. It gives you so much freedom to set your own hours, do the work you want to do, and get paid all different amounts.. The only downside is that sometimes there’s long periods of time between jobs and when that happens you’re kind of screwed for money.

Decided it was time for a new layout here! I don’t have time to make my own right now since I have so much going on and classes start again in about a day so I snagged a really awesome one from the WP Themes Database. I love it since its so simple and yet elegant at the same time. I love it and I hope that you guys will all love it too!

But now it’s time for me to go to bed because I’m sick right now and exhaustion is really not helping that out at all.

Even though I’m (somewhat) happy to be getting back to classes… I just don’t know… I’ve been in somewhat of a funk lately and it’s really starting to get to me. I think I may be sick or something since for the most part it is just me not having any energy to do the things I need to. It took me three whole days to wash my car and clean out the inside because I couldn’t work on it for more than about an hour at a time before I was too exhausted to go on.

It may also have something to do with the hot weather, but that’s just speculation. But it really is terrible down here. I had to put my tin of chocolate covered pretzels in the fridge because they were melting into one giant blob. But now I have a nice cool treat to snack on every once in a while and they are extremely good.

Now that I have all my work done I think I’m just going to take a few days and r-e-l-a-x as much as possible. I still need to finish my DU application, but I’m not too worried about it since I’m 90% finished with it now.

So classes start up again tomorrow.. What am I doing up so late then you ask? Well, I actually lucked out this quarter. I don’t have any classes on Monday or Tuesday, so they’re my relaxation days. Of course I pay for it by having an 8-12 and 1-5 on Friday… But I can live with that. Hopefully this new schedule will increase my chances of getting a job down here so that I can save up some money before I head off to Pittsburgh. I’m running low on the funds and that’s never a good thing. Thankfully I still have tons of the money that my gran gave me for Christmas left, but I don’t want to spend that if I don’t absolutely have to.

I’m also dreading going back to school because I know it’s going to be hotter than Hell in my condo. We’re attempting to live without turning on the Central Air for as long as possible to save money, but that results in us having a cool downstairs and a beastly hot upstairs. You just sit there and the sweat rolls off your body. We can’t even open the windows half the time because our complex is next to a farmers field and let me tell you… The smell of cow manure baking in the son is NOT a pleasant thing to experience.

I may have to just spend all my time driving around in my car with the windows down. It’ll be cool, and fun since I love driving!

I just cannot believe how sick I’ve been over the past few days. It’s been absolutely terrible! I don’t feel horrible, but I just have absolutely no energy or desire to do anything but lay in bed. I hate feeling like this because then I don’t get anything done that I want to finish and things start piling up for me to deal with. It gets horrible and then I end up all stressed out.

For right now though I’m just going to try and feel better. I’ve been watching America’s Funniest Home Videos for the past few hours and am planning on putting in Post Grad here soon.
